You are:

An experienced DOTCompliance Specialist who will drive compliance accountability through data analysis and regulatory implementation. This U.S. based position reports to the Compliance Manager for Pitney Bowes Commerce Services and is accountable to the PB transportation business unit. The hands on DOT Compliance Specialist must network within the transportation industry to stay updated with all the latest changes regarding our industry. Position is flexible working remote from home or a PB office in North America and may require overnight travel.


  • Helps maintain FMCSA records and reports required by Federal,State and local regulations, driver qualification files and other appropriaterecords for all FMCSA regulated employees.

  • Assist in the maintenance and auditing of driver logs per DOTHours of Service Regulations.

  • Assists the Compliance team in preparation of reports and otherprojects; helps set up training sessions and plans for Compliance departmentfunctions.

  • Assists the Compliance Department with the maintenance of avariety of spreadsheets and reports; helps track DOT compliance to ensureproper maintenance and implementation of driver requirements per FMCSAregulations.

  • Assist with tracking driver training records.

  • Assistsin the Administration of Motor Vehicle Accident Recordkeeping.

  • Assistsin Vehicle Procurement Administration.

  • Assistsin the Inventory and General Administration of Transportation Assets.

  • Helps serve as a communications liaison between management,supervisors, and employees

  • Performs general office functions and clerical duties by use ofMicrosoft Outlook 365 programs, email, phone, third-party software systems, andin-person communications.

  • Willing to learn in the areas of compliance, safety, health,environmental protection, and security relating to the department.

  • Have experience working with and/or managing programs such as:PeopleNet, TrueScreen, Sedgwick ViaOne, Comdata, JJ Keller FleetMentor

  • May perform other duties as required and assigned.

  • 25 % travel required.

  • And otherassignments as directed.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business/Logistics/Supply Chainpreferred but not required)

  • Minimum of 3 years Logistics/Supply ChainManagement experience specializing in transportation, distribution and/orfreight management

  • Excellent communication, writing andpresentation skills

  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite(Word/Excel/Powerpoint) and integrated software applications

  • Superior organizational skills and attentionto detail

  • Experience in the transportation industry required.

  • Manage themselves with a high level ofintegrity, respect and exemplify PBI core values and beliefs
