Organize the mail flow on the production floor byassigning workers and assessing volumes and type of mail based on currentstaffing levels to meet postal deadlines.
Oversee the production workers on designated shifts.Which include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance,rewarding, disciplining, and addressing complaints/solving problems.
Oversee quality function throughout the productionarea. Assure MPTQM (Mail Preparation Total Quality Management)processes and procedures are followed at all times.
Complete required USPS and internal reports, jobcosting reports and application of all USPS postal regulations.Assures clear and concise communication of pertinent information betweenshifts.
Offer suggestions regarding increasing efficiency ofequipment use, working conditions, and motivation of employees.
Perform all additional duties as required.
Your background :
As a Supervisor, you have:
A minimum of one year supervisory experience in the anyone of the following areas where familiarity of USPS requirements and/orregulations are applied (presort, mailroom, associated industries).
A minimum of two years of progressively responsibleexperience in a production or mailing industry environment.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access.
Basic knowledge of MS Word, internet and email.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or withoutaccommodations.
The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of thetime with or without accommodation.
A basic enough understanding of English to be able tounderstand and follow safety and other operational directions communicatedin English, irrespective of their native language.
The ability to work overtime which may includeweekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advancenotice.

Our Presort Services team is a national outsource provider of mail presort services for first-class and standard-class mail in the U.S. and a workshare partner of the United States Postal Service (USPS). Our Presort Services network provides mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick up at their location to delivery into the postal system. Through our network of 33 U.S. locations, and with our fully customized proprietary technology, we process approximately 15 billion pieces of mail annually and are able to expedite delivery and optimize postage savings for our clients.
