A proactive Individual who can maintain building equipment ensuring everything is in proper working order and in safe operating condition. You are a detail oriented contributor who will play a critical role, under general supervision, addressing any mechanical issues, taking proper action to diagnose and/or fix issues in a safe and ethical manner, maintain inventory and notify the purchasing manager of replacement needs.
Perform all necessary maintenance on equipment including emergency diagnoses, repairs, dispatching appropriate vendors when necessary and preventative maintenance while keeping accurate records of all maintenance performed.
Design and reconfigure existing systems as necessary
Assist and contribute in all aspects of projects including the design, install and acceptance.
Maintain spare inventory including researching and locating replacement parts and issuing PO’s as necessary.
Work with vendors and develop good working relationships with employees
Light travel to other facilities to assist in projects and/or emergencies
As a Maintenance Technician you have:
Associates degree or 5 years of material handling maintenance experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Some Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
Able to work 2nd shift as well as alternating weekends
Able to lead, motivate and mentor workforce.
Able to use and be certified on dock equipment (forklifts, reach picks, order pickers, pallet jacks).
Knowledge of OSHA regulations
Be able to understand schematics, blueprints and mechanical designs
Track P/M’s, Cost Savings, and other similar functions
Electrical and automation experience is a plus
