You are:

Performance driven individual who is committed to provide innovative service to our clients. You are approachable and relationship-oriented as you contribute to Pitney Bowes success.

You will:

  • Picksup and delivers mail from our customers by operating a company vanweighing up to 10,000 GVWR.

  • Inspectsassigned vehicle per the Pitney Bowes pre-trip inspection guidelinesand procedures.

  • Reportsany defective findings to the Transportation Supervisor.

  • Maintainsa daily driver’s log or route sheet for mileage and cargo.

  • Inspectsproducts to verify conformance to customer and USPS specifications andregulations.

  • Ensuresthat the mail is reviewed for proper dates, presort slugs and a pickupslip is attached with each order prior to loading on the truck.

  • Promotesa clean work area to prevent possible injuries and/or tripping hazards toself and others.

  • Assistsin dispatch area between assigned pickups.

  • Assistwith the presorting of mail on the production floor.

  • Allother duties as assigned.

As a Van Driver, you have:

  • Validstate motor vehicle operator's license.

  • Goodwritten and oral communication skills.

  • Goodcustomer services skills a must.

  • Minimumage of 18 years old.

  • Abilityto read a map and understand directions with or without accommodations.

  • Abilityto understand and become knowledgeable with USPS regulations andmanaging standards with or without accommodations.

  • Abilityto lift, push and/or carry up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.

  • Abilityto drive a Van up to 10,000 GVWR.

  • Regularlysit and/or stand for long periods of time with or without accommodations.

  • AMinimum of six months experience driving a similar sized vehicle with a safedriving record.

  • Musthave the ability to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends,holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice.

  • Abilityto meet and comply with all applicable US Department of Transportationrequirements for pre-employment and post hire.

  • Satisfactorycompletion of our pre-employment process which may includeDOT driving tests, drug screens and backgroundverifications.

  • Candidatesmust have a basic enough understanding of English to be able to understandand follow safety and other operational directions communicated inEnglish, irrespective of their native language.

  • Thestarting hourly rate is $15.00.

  • Theschedule is 12:30pm to 5pm.

Presort Services

Our Presort Services team is a national outsource provider of mail presort services for first-class and standard-class mail in the U.S. and a workshare partner of the United States Postal Service (USPS). Our Presort Services network provides mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick up at their location to delivery into the postal system. Through our network of 33 U.S. locations, and with our fully customized proprietary technology, we process approximately 15 billion pieces of mail annually and are able to expedite delivery and optimize postage savings for our clients.
