Pitney Bowes Warehouse Machine Technician (2 Openings) in Bloomington, California

Pitney Bowes is now hiring for 2 Full time Direct Hire Warehouse Maintenance Technician in our Bloomington, CA facility.

This position will be working Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There could, however, be earlier start times or later end times, and occasional weekends based upon business needs.

You are:

A proactive Individual who can maintain building equipment ensuring everything is in proper working order and in safe operating condition. You are a detail oriented contributor who will play a critical role, under general supervision, addressing any mechanical issues, taking proper action to diagnose and/or fix issues in a safe and ethical manner, maintain inventory and notify the purchasing manager of replacement needs.

You will:

• Perform all necessary maintenance on equipment including emergency diagnoses, repairs, dispatching appropriate vendors when necessary and preventative maintenance while keeping accurate records of all maintenance performed.

• Design and reconfigure existing systems as necessary

• Assist and contribute in all aspects of projects including the design, install and acceptance.

• Maintain spare inventory including researching and locating replacement parts and issuing PO’s as necessary.

• Work with vendors and develop good working relationships with employees

• Travel as needed to other facilities to assist in projects and/or emergencies

Your background:

As a Warehouse Maintenance Technician you have:

• The flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and/or different shifts as needed with minimal notice

• The ability to travel occasionally based on company needs

• A basic enough understanding of English to be able to understand and follow safety and other operational directions communicated in English, irrespective of your native language

• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Some Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel

• The ability to lead, motivate and mentor workforce.

• The ability to use and be certified on dock equipment (forklifts, reach picks, order pickers, pallet jacks).

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations

• An understanding of schematics, blueprints and mechanical designs

• The ability to track P/M’s, cost Savings, and other similar functions

• The ability to lift up to 75 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.

• Have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record

• The ability to read, comprehend, and repair items using technical repair manuals and the necessary tools

• Design and reconfigure existing systems as necessary

Preferred

• Electrical and automation experience is a plus

• Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field
