As part of the strategic expansion of the Pitney Bowes Parcel Network, we are adding a number of new nodes to our footprint over the next couple of years. By the summer of 2018, we expect to have a number of these nodes launched and be in the middle of planning for the additional nodes to be added in 2019.

This internship will focus on network design and optimization. Starting with a “current-state” network model, we will first expand it to incorporate potential future nodes. We will then run a number of optimization scenarios with varying input parameters (such as demand profile or facility capacities) to determine optimal location and interconnectivity of the nodes in the “future-state” map.

You will be mentored by the VP of Transportation and Network Strategy and will work directly with the Network Engineering team. Together, you will apply advanced data engineering and modeling practices, network design tools, and optimization algorithms to accomplish the goals of the internship
