Perform mechanical and electronic repairs ofall equipment.
Complete preventative maintenance according toTQM and vendor operating standards.
Respond to equipment break down or emergencysituations with urgency and expediency.
Evaluate and assesse equipment problems bytroubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
Communicate and/or escalate serious equipmentissues to the Lead Technician.
Study, review and utilize vendor technicalmanuals, publications or updates, as needed, to remain familiar with allchanges or modifications to equipment.
Train, assist and guides other sitetechnicians.
Assist other PBPS locations with moving and/orinstalling of equipment as needed.
Respond to a pager/cell phone during on-callperiods or during emergency situations.
Promote a clean work area to prevent possibleinjuries and/or tripping hazards to self and others.
Perform all additionalduties as required.
As a Technician, you have:
Completionof Electronics course work usually provided in a program at a trade schoolor community college.
An AAdegree in Electronics, Computer Science or related field of study ispreferred.
Familiaritywith Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automatedequipment.
A minimumof three years of experience in maintaining, repairing, or installingmailing/ comparable equipment.
Experiencetrouble-shooting and repairing complex mechanical equipment with at leastone year of break/fix mechanical experience.
Excellentproblem solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipmentproblems, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.
Theability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of thetime with or without accommodations.
Flexibilityto work overtime, weekends, holidays, and/or different shifts as neededwith minimal notice.

Our Presort Services team is a national outsource provider of mail presort services for first-class and standard-class mail in the U.S. and a workshare partner of the United States Postal Service (USPS). Our Presort Services network provides mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick up at their location to delivery into the postal system. Through our network of 33 U.S. locations, and with our fully customized proprietary technology, we process approximately 15 billion pieces of mail annually and are able to expedite delivery and optimize postage savings for our clients.
