The Senior Product Manager of Financial Systems position will help develop and be accountable for integration of financial systems, delivering the Finance product lifecycle and corresponding product strategy roadmap. The position involves defining the requirements for integration of financial systems throughout the organization to enable the consolidation of financial information and ease of reporting. In addition, this role is responsible for developing and managing the billing/invoicing for all PB and Borderfree products.

The individual will work with Finance, Financial Operations, GAO (General Accounting Office), and Sales business stakeholders to evaluate and determine the best method of invoicing. The Senior Product Manager will analyze industry trends and competitive offerings to drive new concepts and prioritization. In addition to being able to drive the long term strategy, this role requires a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves, teamwork oriented individual who can champion the product and provide direction to cross-functional teams. This product leadership role will be working in a global, agile delivery model (and all that the agile methodology entails for a product manager) to prioritize the backlog and own each release.

The individual must regularly demonstrate flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal staff and executive management, as well as outside clients and vendors. The role should serve as the as the de facto subject matter expert for our financial systems.

In addition to product management responsibilities, the individual will engage with clients and prospects at the request of product, marketing, sales and business development. As a result, he or she should have exceptional client-facing skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the Financial Systems product roadmap, driven by input from business stakeholders, clients, merchants, competitors, and financial regulations for doing business outside the U.S.

  • Own product direction and development of product requirements, working closely with our business analysts, engineering, architecture and development teams to ensure they are specified and implemented properly.

  • Work with finance and business unit to incorporate short and long-term plans for the financial systems/billing platform and operate as the product SME for enhancing financial system integration with our Borderfree Global eCommerce and Pitney Bowes-wide capabilities.

  • Work closely with Finance and GAO to build the plug-ins to the back end SAP ERP, while understanding and ensuring financial and accounting compliance with all regulatory and compliance bodies in all countries where we conduct business.

  • Create and implement regular product plans and roadmap including new products/enhancements to expand service offering, drive revenue, and maximize profitability.

  • Engage closely with the development teams to define product requirements, specifications and acceptance testing criteria. Compile, articulate, review and provide final sign-off for all requirements.

  • Facilitate cross company communication with key stakeholder groups to achieve alignment around development priorities and share release and product status.

  • Lead scoping and prioritization discussions with senior executives to highlight tradeoffs between delivery dates, functionality, quality and cost.

  • Develop materials with the marketing and sales organizations to convey the purpose and details of the products, benefits to the customer, customization capabilities, and competitive comparison.

  • Prioritize projects and effort by balancing organizational, client and financial priorities to ensure that the right features get built in the right order and at the right time.

  • Productization of our financial systems – internally and externally along with the development of marketing collateral - Communicate the product benefits, features and target markets; champion projects with internal teams and external clients to assure success.

  • Have a disposition toward 'action' to make sure things get done.

Qualifications:

  • 7 years product management experience

  • Financial system integration and eCommerce experience

  • SAP and SAP In-house Cash experience is a huge asset

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, leadership, and consensus-building skills. Ability to be responsive and persuasive to all levels of the organization. Ability to formulate and communicate key priorities that guide and focus the efforts of others.

  • Acts with a sense of urgency to assess needs and produce quality results.

  • Financial knowledge a plus.

  • Assertive, dynamic, energetic and possesses a good sense of humor.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, informal, high-performing team environment.

  • Ability to communicate key ideas/concepts, and summarize information in a concise and professional manner.

  • Excellent academic credentials; minimum B.A. or B.S.

  • Willingness to travel required
