About the Opportunity:



The Business Development Director is a key position tasked with driving the results of the production print portfolio in line with the financial objectives, strategic direction and vision of the Business Unit. This position has sales and gross margin responsibility for the assigned territory/region.

The successful candidate will independently and where appropriate assist the general line sales force with: identifying and qualifying accounts, development of an account specific strategies, conduct system demonstrations, generate client proposals, closing client sales orders. The individual must also reach across organizational business units to collaborate with other parts of the enterprise to most effectively leverage optimal technologies.

This position requires strong client facing, sales teaming and business development skills. This will include close collaboration with the DMT Systems Analysts in order to rigorously evaluate client business problems and develop PB production print solutions that support client critical business issues and requirements. Customer orientation and PB Teaming are key to success. 80 – 90% of their time will be spend with Clients or with other PB sales professional in support of meeting/exceeding the defined business unit budgets for equipment, consumables and service categories.

Grow. * * Region responsibility of assigned geograpic business peformance (Sales revenue and Gross Margin) * Building and driving the results through client direct engagement as well the DMT sales professionals * Leading analysis and maintaining a strong understanding of markets, customer needs and competitive offerings to identify new profitable and leading opportunities * Determining the overall pricing strategy for the sales campaign * Defining the product or solution value proposition in all target markets * Collaborating across business unit boundaries to utilize best available PB-wide technology * Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction for the assigned product or group of products * Management of matrix relationships across functions, BU's, and geographies

Scope/Dimensions of Job: * Deliver on product-level financial commitments (revenue and gross margin budgets) * Reports to Product Line Management. Regularly works with product marketing, strategy leads, engineering, and product managers from other business units. Interacts with senior management.

*Qualifications * * The BDD will have 5 years of inkjet digital production print sales and or business development experience driving results as either an individual contributor or in direct support of existing sales representatives. * Demonstrated experience extracting value from product solutions, including facilitating rapid problem solving sessions * Experience in financial management and business case development * Experience in utilizing customer insights to drive product innovation * Experience in making product and solution tradeoffs to optimize customer value * Significant experience in the mail, data management or corporate communications industry * Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
